Cannex uses professionals with ten or more years experience in each aspect of our immigration services we provide to clients. When we use outside professionals we ensure they are highly skilled and experienced. Each of the these professionals come from backgrounds and education that is directly beneficial to achieving our clients' immigration and settlement objectives.

Other firms and consultants come from diverse backgrounds including operating other businesses (i.e. grocery store, motels) or perhaps work in factories. Many may go through the immigration process themselves and suddenly they are advising the general public. Back to their home country they go to start an immigration business without any knowledge or training. Some collect information and brochures from established firms to copy.

Our professionals have substantial and significant training in immigration. Besides our authorized representatives being Certified Canadian Immigration Consultants they have been responsible for the development and education of many of the practitioners in this feild acting in their capacity with the professional association CAPIC. |
Since 2004 only authorized representatives may charge fees for immigration services. Since that date there has been a madatory minimum level of competency ensured by the regulator (CSIC). Prior to that consultants could practice without so much as having read an application kit. Fortunately, the minimum competency has change that. Yet, many consultants practice only in one area limiting their training in that area.

Well-trained and seasoned immigration professionals handle your case. Certified Canadian Immigration Consultants and lawyers will be your represenative. But not just any new consultant that has met the minimum requirements. We use Certified Consultants and lawyers with at least ten years of experience. This ensures that your case is not the test case and that your case gets the representation it deserves. |
One of hundreds of employees or sub-agents in any number of cities around the world who have no formal immigration training or experience with immigration matters and most have never been to Canada. Perhaps these sub-agents who receive third hand or fourth hand information and work on your case today will be the next big consultants of tomorrow. Other consultants are good at filling in forms Very few do in-land immigration, fewer do appeals. Is knowing only some small part of the immigration process enough? Many companies hire outside help to correct mistakes they hve made. Other companies (large and small) have little or no experience in a wide enough variety of Canadian immigration matters.

Ask around. Judge for yourself. Other consultants live for themselves. They care only where the next client will come from and how to get the money out of their pocket. How much free advice is given? How much time to community groups? How are they viewed within the department (not to local politicians)? And, most importantly how well do they perform and treat their clients?

Word of mouth, talk shows, newspaper articles, community involvement and advertising. We tell the truth. Straightforward, frank and honest truth. At times this discourages clients who are not prepared to hear the reality of their situation. NO FALSE impressions just to get your business. |
Lots of photo ops with Canadian politicians (demonstrating exactly what is not known). Large splash advertisements making bold statements, giving half-truths and implying something incredible and paid pre-recorded television or radio program where their immigration knowledge cannot be tested live. Remember what they say, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Politicians cannot speed up your case or otherwise influence Immigration officials. Large advertisements seek your attention (perhaps there have no other way to get business) and as for the statements, well this fools many people. Beware.

We are a small company specializing in service to you. Our network of associates are likewise attuned to personal care. Our associates are equally dedicated to you and your needs. |
Others boast of huge numbers of offices and significant network of staff. Like with many large companies there is a sense of alienation. This includes clients and staff. Particularly dangerous for staff since it is unlikely that many if any are well trained, current or interested in anything other than your payment. Also dangerous to clients, if you wanted to be just another number you should have applied directly.

We don't have this certification. We prefer to obtain meaningful training and information on Immigration and settlement issues. We manage our clients with a view to delivering care that we would seek if we were clients. We are "client certified" daily. |
Others use this as a promotional gimmick to add a sense of credibility that may otherwise be lacking.

| Agents |
Our Immigration Services Representatives, Agents and Associates are all professional and well-respected people in their own right. They all believe in professionalism and clearly understand their duty. We do provide training for associates but their main concern is with matters other than consulting on immigration services. They are excellent contact people and excellent client care managers. We would not think of trying to train them to be immigration consultants. Imparting our knowledge to our associates would take years. |
Agents are often advising clients about Canada and immigration. Based on what training you ask? Good question.

| Fees |
Clear contracts. Clear assignment of duties and instruction. Unparalleled knowledge and experience. Most reasonable fees considering the source of service, experience of the practitioner, quality of work, fine representation, well rounded competence, the work to be done, the needs of the client and benefit to the client. |
High/low/not fixed. Other immigration companies will take anything that is offered. They work under the philosophy that they should take whatever they can get from the client since once the client has paid they are stuck.
